Cécile Dormeau

It is already 10 years that Cécile Dormeau began her career as an illustrator, after working for various graphic design and advertising agencies in Germany. From the outset, her work has reflected on beauty standards and the representation of bodies in the media. From her earliest series, she draws women “as they are”, exploring female complexes in a poetic and humorous way. In 2019, she was contacted by Charlotte Abramow to take part in Angèle’s “Balance ton quoi” video, in which she gives her take on the #MeToo movement. On her Instagram with over 250k followers, she celebrates imperfection and self-acceptance. She also regularly takes part in conferences – the European Design Festival in Oslo, nicertuesdays in London and Pictoplasma in Berlin – where she shares two major themes: the importance of diversity in the media and her experience of creative block.
