Andrea Mongia is an Italian artist, born in 1989, and currently based in Rome. He graduated in illustration from The European Institute of Design (IED) in 2011 and shortly after began working as a freelance illustrator. In 2019 he has been included by Forbes in 30 Under 30 – Europe – Art & Culture list, featuring the most influential creatives in Europe. Among the various recognition, he won a Gold Medal in the Institutional category from The Society of Illustrators in 2022 for the project “AFRICA READS. Author’s interpretations from the continent” the calendar he illustrated for Doctors with Africa CUAMM, which works for over 70 years for the promotion and protection of health in Africa.
His colourful and elegant images have appeared in various magazines and newspapers like The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, AD Architectural Digest, The Guardian, O, The Oprah Magazine, The New Yorker, Variety, Real Simple, and many others. Andrea has also been illustrating projects for Italian and international brands such as Ikea, Barilla + Spotify, Pink Lady, Arper, Ideal Standard, Loro Piana and Slowear. He has recently created in collaboration with Workroom, different animated videos for Scope Collection, one of Thailand’s leading luxury property developers, with the intention to deliver a new way of luxury living in Bangkok that will “stand the test of time”.
